This is an impressive article about a German filmmaker who has decided to take the plunge and go completely Open Source for one year.  Now when most of you hear that you are probably thinking “Oh so he’s going to use Linux for a year” or something along those lines.  This is not the case however.  This gentleman is taking it to the extreme to test the limits of Open Source at its core not just in software but in hardware and all other aspects as well.  Right down the the beer he drinks (now that is serious).  Interesting read and of course I would love to hear your feedback and comments.  Could you go all Open Source for a month or maybe a year like this guy?  What Open Source things do you know of that are outside of the normal hardware/software box?
