Open Source can come from anywhere but today it is brought to you by your friends and Netflix. It seems that over the years the engineers over at Netflix have been creating a container management platform to handle all of their day to day container management operations on AWS. As most of you know or perhaps you do not, Netflix runs the predominance of it’s services on the AWS Cloud Platform. Titus has been created to handle most AWS API tasks to allow for easy management and scaling as well as comprehensive management of IPs, IAM Policies, and more. There is a very good presentation on on slideshare that can be found here.
In addition there is a very good writeup from media.com that goes into great depth on Titus and it’s features that can be found here.
So please join me in welcoming Titus and its progenitors Netflix to the Open Source Community! Go check it out and take it for a spin and let us know what you think.
