I tend to agree with the article here surrounding the age old argument of Proprietary or closed source code vs. the open source model.  In summary Proprietary=Small Dev/QA teams, narrow focus, and slow release schedules.  Open Source=More eyes doing Dev/QA, broader vision, and more frequent release cycles.  In addition the communities creating the code are often also the user base so they have a vested interest in things like security, performance, features, bug fix, etc.  If you have not looked into Open Source or do not have an strategy aroun Open Source give us a call or drop us an email and let us show you what Open Source can do for you and your organization.
