I tend to agree with the article here surrounding the age old argument of Proprietary or closed source code vs. the open source model. In summary Proprietary=Small Dev/QA teams, narrow focus, and slow release schedules. Open Source=More eyes doing Dev/QA, broader vision, and more frequent release cycles.
